Typographic layout design for Christchurch Art Gallery's quarterly magazine, Bulletin.
I was fortunate enough to land a summer internship job working on Christchurch Art Gallery's Bulletin magazine. Working with Leon White and his team, I was tasked with designing the layout for an article in the Bulletin. I was supplied with the images and the text, and then I worked on the article layout to create an eye catching yet functional piece.
One challenge was getting the landscape images to fit while still maintaining an adequate DPI. Creating a crop that was both aesthetically pleasing was also important. I enjoyed working with the team, gaining advice and guidance from the other designers was insightful and inspiring which gave me a wider perspective of good work practices in a busy design studio.
